FILE 01 // Q&A

What is a relationship status generator?

A relationship status generator is a tool that creates short, post-ready lines describing your love life — for social media bios, dating profiles, WhatsApp about text or captions. StatusSage generates them from a bank of 144 original lines across 8 categories (romantic, funny, single, taken, engaged, newly married, self-love, moving on) and 3 styles (sweet, funny, bold), shuffled with cryptographically secure randomness.

FILE 02 // Q&A

Are the generated statuses original?

Yes. Every line in the StatusSage bank was written originally for this tool — none are copied from quote sites, song lyrics or other generators. They are free for your personal use in bios, captions and profiles, no attribution required.

FILE 03 // Q&A

How do I choose a good relationship status?

Match three things: your audience (who can see it), your honesty level (would you stand by it if quoted), and its shelf life (funny ages fast, sweet lasts). Pick the category that fits your chapter, generate a shortlist, and choose the line that still feels true when read aloud. The ideas guide walks through this in detail.

FILE 04 // Q&A

What is the best relationship status for Facebook?

Facebook's dropdown is a factual label — keep it accurate and current. For the bio and intro text around it, one short generated line works best. Avoid leaving an outdated label after a breakup; it causes more confusion than any witty line resolves.

FILE 05 // Q&A

What should I put as my relationship status on a dating profile?

Skip the literal label — being on the app already says you are single. Use one funny or bold line that gives a match something to reply to. One line is enough; let your prompts and photos carry the rest.

FILE 06 // Q&A

Is it okay to post a funny status about being single?

Absolutely — some of the best-performing status lines are funny single ones. The only guardrails: keep it about you (not mocking an ex or a type of person), and make sure the joke still feels good a month later.

FILE 07 // Q&A

How do I announce an engagement as a status?

Tell close family privately first, then post a short sweet line — sincerity beats cleverness for announcements. Make sure both partners are tagged or credited. The generator's engaged category has announcement-ready lines.

FILE 08 // Q&A

What is a good status after a breakup?

Often, silence — removing the old status says plenty. When you are ready to say something, keep it about you, say nothing about the other person, and prefer forward-looking lines. The moving-on category is written to sound healed, not bitter.

FILE 09 // Q&A

Can I use these statuses commercially?

The lines are provided for personal use in your own profiles, bios and captions. If you want to use them in a commercial product (an app, a book, merchandise), write to us via the contact page first.

FILE 10 // Q&A

Is the generator really private?

Yes. StatusSage is plain JavaScript running in your browser. It uses crypto.getRandomValues() for randomness, sends nothing over the network, sets no cookies and stores nothing. The privacy page has the full details.

FILE 11 // Q&A

How many statuses can I generate at once?

Up to 24 per click, with unlimited clicks. The bank holds 144 lines, and each generation shuffles the pool, so repeated clicks give fresh mixes until the pool is exhausted.

FILE 12 // Q&A

Do you track what I generate?

No. There is no backend, no analytics and no storage — generated lines exist only in your browser tab until you close it.
